New Orleans

This past weekend, my husband and I traveled to New Orleans! It is such an interesting city. The people watching and architecture was so neat and made for some great pictures!

I have always loved window frame pictures, It just makes you feel like you are there.

The man who was sitting here was so interesting to watch but I couldn't catch him sitting. He would jump up to talk to all the tourist and then sing to them.

Outside Jackson Square, I loved seeing all the balconies decorated for Christmas

Local artists would gather outside of Jackson Square to sell paintings

St. Louis Cathedral

This man was a part of a band playing in front of the Cathedral. They were so much fun to watch.

Another jazz band playing in the street

We really had a great time in New Orleans and I really enjoyed the opportunity to take pictures in a new place!

A Biltmore Christmas

To get us into the Christmas spirit and take advantage of our season passes, my husband and I visited the Biltmore house Sunday in Asheville, NC. It was an absolutely beautiful day. We attended the evening candle light tour and were able to get some great shots of the Estate decorated for the holidays.

I loved these holly berries and just had to snap a picture of them

Myrtle Beach

This past weekend my husband and I were in Myrtle Beach. They have just re-done the old boardwalk along the main strip near the pavilion site. I snapped a few pictures of old & new scenes along the boardwalk. These pictures remind me of some my father took when I was a child on this same boardwalk in the 80's so they bring a bit of the past back. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Wynn & Dawn Tie The Knot

This weekend I had the pleasure to meet Wynn & Dawn to photograph their wedding. Meeting these two and their family and friends was so fun, they are certainly a fun crowd! Here is a peek into their wedding day at Mitchell House and Gardens.

The Mother of the Bride and the Bride getting ready. I love the expression on her face, she was so excited!

Three generations of Phillips men!

I love this picture! It is just so sweet!

A New Look...

I am sure many of my blog friendly buddies have noticed that the traditional way of "decorating" your blog is rather difficult now that Blogger has implemented their updated blog designer. I fought it for a while trying to keep my old designs I loved active until it just became a giant pain in the butt... I have since given in and began using the new format. I guess it's OK, but will take some getting used to. What do you all think of the blog's new look?

Lots of Snow in Columbia

Well Columbia is apparently known as "famously hot" but we actually got snow this year, and I mean LOTS of snow (for us). My husband being from Indiana thought I was completely crazy for walking around the neighborhood in my motorcycle riding boots(because why would I have snow boots in SC?) taking pictures of EVERYTHING!

Ashley and Caleb

Ashley invited me into her home to photograph her and her husband during her pregancy! Caleb was born June 11, 2009 and the cutest little boy ever! Here are a few of my favorites from her session!

Rachel and Matt Engagement

I photographed Rachel and Matt this past Spring in celebration of their engagement. They were so much fun! Rachel brought her "entourage" as we called them and they were a great help not only to Rachel but to me as well! Thank you ladies!
